#102 Final presentations in Poland

From 01.08 to 12.08 we met in Warsaw as part of the Dancing Together, Again! programme. This beautiful city hosted participants from four different countries: Georgia, Croatia, Italy and Poland. A great cultural exchange, embodying ideas and values that are important to us through movement. Strong and important themes culminated in final creative acts. But the most important thing is the human encounter. A community of people who, through their love of dance, want to share what is perhaps most lacking in today's world. Sensitivity, authenticity, openness. The residency created a platform for the exchange of a huge amount of experience, and the intense creative process resulted in a great variety of stage creations.

In my personal process, the residency allowed me to redefine my place in the creative space. In the final presentation I shared a movement improvisation. At its core was a search for balance in relation to my own body and the surrounding reality. It was a moment of great harmony for me and the joy of the body in movement. I trust that many fruits will come from this, which will find their application where they serve best.

1-12 August 2024 Final presentations in Warszawa, Poland. The "Dancing Together Again! Creative Residencies Programme, a project implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw (Poland), the Arts Research Institute of Georgia in Tbilisi (Georgia), Movimento Danza in Naples (Italy) and TRAFIK Dance/Theatre Company in Rijeka (Croatia), took place in 2023-2024 under the Creative Europe Programme, under the Culture strand. #127 Final presentations in Poland

Re-connecting in final residency in Warsaw It was a great opportunity for me to be a part of dance residency EU Project "Dancing together again" and to connect to other colleagues from participating countries, first in Napoli, then finally meeting all colleagues in Warsaw who have participated in previous residencies in Tbilisi, Rijeka and Napoli. I am very grateful to be able to participate in this project as the residencies were a rare opportunity for me to be able to focus only on dance artistic process, without needing to take care of other everyday duties. The weather in Warsaw was much cooler than in my hometown Zagreb during summer, which I really liked. However, this time it affected me in such a way that after the first few days of residency I got sick with a high fever and was forced to spend a few days in my room before I recovered. “In the second half of August at squares and house-yards of Powisle appears the “Puppets by barricade” — a puppet show picturing the reality in a comic manner and bringing joy to inhabitants or the district and to the insurgents”. “Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” - Dumbledore said.
