#58 Residency in Croatia

„reSOURCE”

Residency in Rijeka came to an end. Just theoretically, because it’s still working strongly at some point.

I challenged myself and let the process continue till the very very end. I let it have the last word right on the stage. That’s the beauty of the movement improvisation I was trying to share. 

I based my research around SUSTAINABILITY on the subject of being in relation. Between me and my colleagues of residency, coordinator of the group, local community, architecture and natural environment of Rijeka. Finally, through the movement practice, in relation to my own body. All of these aspects guided me to refund the state of my inner sustainability. A new way of communication between body, mind and something we could call „ inner source of creation”. That allowed me to create in a different way that I used to do it so far. Freely, peacefully and joyfully. It also made me think, how big resources we are for each other as a human kind. Sources of ideas, innovations, support, compassion, creativity…

I am enormously grateful, I take this experience for life!

Rezidencijalni boravak u Rijeci došao je kraju. Samo teoretski, jer još uvijek snažno djeluje u nekom trenutku.

Izazvao sam sam sebe i pustio da se proces nastavi do samog kraja. Prepuštam mu zadnju riječ na pozornici. To je ljepota improvizacije pokreta koju sam pokušavao podijeliti.

Zasnovao sam svoje istraživanje oko ODRŽIVOSTI na temi povezanosti. Između mene i mojih kolega rezidencije, koordinatorice grupe, lokalne zajednice, arhitekture i prirodnog okoliša Rijeke. Konačno, kroz praksu pokreta, u odnosu na vlastito tijelo. Svi ovi aspekti vodili su me da vratim stanje svoje unutarnje održivosti. Novi način komunikacije između tijela, uma i nečega što bismo mogli nazvati „unutarnji izvor kreacije”. To mi je omogućilo da stvaram na drugačiji način na koji sam to radio do sada. Slobodno, mirno i radosno. To me također natjeralo na razmišljanje koliko smo veliki resursi jedni za druge kao ljudska vrsta. Izvori ideja, inovacija, podrške, suosjećanja, kreativnosti…

Neizmjerno sam zahvalna, ovo iskustvo uzimam za život!

#112 Final presentations in Poland

DTA residency will stay for me as one of the unforgettable projects, the experience and impact it has left on me, will follow me for many years. Now let’s circle back and let me tell you all the details I find interesting within this final presentation's 10 days residency. Once we all arrived in Warsaw, Poland, we all together had a big meet up in the hotel to receive our accommodation keys and to get city transportation tickets, for us to make it easier to travel independently. Seeing our friends from previous residency was surprisingly overwhelming and we felt lucky & thankful that we met each other again within the project! The accommodation itself was really nice & clean, even though the space was small it was perfectly suitable for a solo traveler. Together with tickets we also have received vouchers from local stores to buy ourselves dinner products and vouchers for the local bakery downstairs, which was nice for breakfast/brunch options. #127 Final presentations in Poland

Re-connecting in final residency in Warsaw It was a great opportunity for me to be a part of dance residency EU Project "Dancing together again" and to connect to other colleagues from participating countries, first in Napoli, then finally meeting all colleagues in Warsaw who have participated in previous residencies in Tbilisi, Rijeka and Napoli. I am very grateful to be able to participate in this project as the residencies were a rare opportunity for me to be able to focus only on dance artistic process, without needing to take care of other everyday duties. The weather in Warsaw was much cooler than in my hometown Zagreb during summer, which I really liked. However, this time it affected me in such a way that after the first few days of residency I got sick with a high fever and was forced to spend a few days in my room before I recovered.
