The history of domination of one group over the other is an inherent topic that accompanies me during this residency. We artists are not free from it. Who has more "rights" to access space and who has less, and how do we explain it? Who is a dancer and who is not. Where there are more funds for culture, it can be said that there is greater professionalization. Where do these funds come from? Don't they result from years of domination and oppression of other countries, where funds for culture are still smaller? Do these artists, having fewer resources and more complicated artistic biographies, have less to say and worse skills just because they cannot afford well-paid schools and workshops? Doesn't struggling with limitations make their stories more interesting? And their means more unique. Maybe it's a matter of the message being conveyed? Maybe yes and maybe no. However, I meet artists here, full of warmth, the need for expression and who have a lot to say.

A njihova sredstva jedinstvenija.
